White Rose

White Rose began when Bill Tucker and Joel Dow(City Harvest Black) collaborated and made a noise tape together in the summer of 2008 named after the not-so-mentioned anti nazi activists. Bill liked the name so much that he kept it for his future noise recordings. The name didn’t stay because of the amount of artists with the same name. After years of trading names from “untitled” to “matgous” nothing really stuck like White Rose and he returned to the original title.
White Rose doesn’t play very many shows, maybe a couple a year, but he is always recording and collaborating with other artists. His main inspirations for his noise are power electronics and avant jazz. He’s on a mission to imitate the sounds that are made by acoustic instruments with old electronics and contact mics. He’s hoping to find new sounds as he continues to manipulate the sounds coming out of these “machines”.
